Marvel at the endurance of the Cagsawa ruins near Mayon Volcano. Get illuminated by the burning lights of the fireflies in the evening at Donsol and see the majestic cone of the Mayon Volcano. Meet the eighty-eight year old cook who created one of the local dishes in Sorsogon. Visit the main supplier of the region’s pride, the “Pinangat,” a nutritious vegetable dish wrapped in gabi leaves.

Captivating Rizal & Laguna

The tour begins with snacks at a local restaurant in Angono that serves exotic dishes such as wild deer, monitor lizards and pythons. From here, see the Angono Petroglyphs. These are engravings on the surface of rocks in the mountains of Angono and Binangonan dating back to circa 3,000 BC. These petroglyphs are now part of the World’s Inventory of Rock Art by UNESCO-ICCROM-ICOMOS. The tour also includes a visit to some artists’ museum and home where art pieces are displayed and in some occasions, you can see artists at work. Next stop would be the woodcarvers’ town of Paete in Laguna where one can see carvings of exquisite artistry in furniture, sculptures and décor items. The tradition of woodcarving in this famous town was handed down from generation to generation going back to the Hispanic times. From here, the tour goes to local restaurant with a garden venue atop a hill for lunch. The group will also have the opportunity to look at hand-embroidered barong tagalogs and wedding ensembles in Lumban before an afternoon snack in a floating restaurant.
